Angel

The mighty cherub of Ezekiel.
Vicious in defense of freedom,
Savage against power,
Anarchic defender of the new
Against the modern ancien regime

The flower of youth burns like the Sun,
Flares of color impassioning his cheek,
As his flashing eyes, his floating hair,
His monstrous rhetoric
Tame and snatch the eye and ear.

Into damnation many would fall,
All for the sake of an angel.
