american dream.

the american dream.

the american dream isn’t meant for you and me.

it’s a true contradiction and complete hypocrisy.

this the dream that lets white kids look at the sky as the limit while black bodies line the streets.

my people never see the benefits this system reaps.

i’m about tired of seeing my family preyed on like a wolf does a flock of sheep.

true knowledge is all i secrete.

i will no longer accept mediocrity and defeat.

my family won’t pick up a book but luh baby has them screaming yes indeed.

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.

it’s the dream where i have to tell you my life matters.

you get offended but i just want some answers.

my solution is to something like the black panthers.

those were the true OG gangsters.

repping their set on their backs with affirmative behavior.

breaking up the system with the wisdom of its victim like a compound fracture.

i refuse to let the toxicity of stature de facto  spread like a cancer.

i’m asking you a question and i expect an answer.

is this the dream you want from your invader?

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.

somebody’s dad went to jail and they ain’t seen him since.

somebody’s grandma on her knees praying to god to forgive their sins.

somebody’s momma working two three jobs just to tie up loose ends.

somebody’s child is getting caught up with the wrong set of friends.

somebody’s child doesn’t want to look soft so they pretend.

all is well but the kid can’t get a grip and it’s all slipping through the vents.

is this the dream you dreamt?

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.

this the true american dream.
