The American Dream

Working to support ourselves

living in safe neighborhoods

fighting to protect our rights

there's no way a dystopian society

shines bright

while all we do is cuss and fuss

let this be a warning

to both of us

This isn't what we call the American Dream

by now I'm sure they muffled the sound

of our screams

Slavery isn't the act of liberation

but it's enactment of dominance

for something damn prominent

will be what we consider our emancipation
