Amazing Grace, How Sweet The...Sound?

Thought: Grace Has a Sound?

I was just thinking about how the lyrics clearly says,

Ama-zing Grace,

How sweet,

The sound..

Now much like the 5 year old kid in me,

And the Pharisees,

And sometimes the disciples of Jesus,

I was thinking literally..

"Wait what?

What do you mean Grace has a sound?"...

Then I started thinking,

Well,

Yea,

If you know where Grace comes from,

And have experienced it?

Grace sounds like shackles being released..

Exonerated,

Vindicated,

Pardoned from the punishment we actually deserve,

Grace sounds like..

Commit to the Lord all of your ways and He will establish your path,

Grace,

Sounds like,

Breaking,

Found in the breaking of every new day,

In which we daily break bread given to us in the form of His word,

And they remind us…

Of Bones,

Whether the breaking of them ..

On The Cross or the rising of them 3 days later,

Causing my bones to rise with Him,

Along with my voice to sing..

Ama-zing Grace,

How sweet the sound..

Grace sounds like “I will be with you from beginning to the end”,

And I know He will be,

Until the angels call me home,

From dust to dust..

Grace tells me my body will decompose,

But my Soul,

Through Grace by Faith will ascend into the heavens,

Angel Dust..

Grace has a way of makes straight lines out crooked sticks it’s just in the way that He..

Angles us,

Grace sounds like God,

THUNDERING from above,

Saying,

This is My Son in whom I am well pleased,

Or,

No man shall come unto the Father except through me,

Grace sounds like a flood,

Of blood,

Wiping the slate clean,

Grace sounds like,

An exhale,

As you relinquish your burdens and take up your cross,

Grace sounds like every (Breathe innnnnnnn).....

And exhale,

Every hand extended by Him to change our future and exit hell,

Grace sounds like the man standing before you,

Willing bowing before the Son of Man who stands before me,

Knowing that Thee I Am,

Made me who I am,

A new creation,

Better than the before me,

Grace sounds like every embracing hug..

And tear dropped..

From knowing that you couldn’t do it on your own..

Didn’t deserve it,

Couldn't earn it,

But you were embraced and loved anyway,

And before you know it?....

You begin to realize...

In all of this...

Thunder,

And flood..

You are surrounded,

Enthralled,

Immersed,

In His Grace..

Grace sound like,

Sounds like a knock on the door and a blessing on the other side,

Just a reminder that you haven’t been forgotten and you don’t walk this earth alone,

Grace sounds like,

Feet dragging across the floor to a familiar door,

After a long merciless journey,

And a father saying..

Welcome home

Disclaimer

So I will be the first to call myself out…

It is actually scripturally incorrect that Jesus’s bones were broken. It was prophesied a couple of times in Exodus 12:46, Numbers 9:12 and said in John 19:36 "For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken." This passage refers back to Psalms 34:20 "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken”.

In fact, HIS BODY, was GIVEN, for us while the BREAD, was broken and eaten in remembrance of Jesus. “And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me’ (Luke 22:19).

Then again it is referenced in 1 Corinthians 11:24 where He says “This is my body which is ‘broken’ for you” which can be easily misconceived.

Without being too hard on myself, I think this shows a lack of preparation and understanding on my part before writing this piece. The reason I bring this up, is

  1. For the truth to be THEE ACTUAL TRUTH to be recognized.. and
  2. To show that even in a blemish or mistake, God has answered my prayers in allowing me to be more like the wise (who when reproved become all the more wise) as oppose to a scoffer or fool. I can admit that I WAS WRONG about that part, and now I know the truth. The last thing I want to do is lead anybody astray.
