The Always Ugly Duckling

The young ugly duckling,

as the story would go,

was cackled at-

cracked at-

hissed at-

by his siblings so.

As time began to pass,

his looks grew ever worse,

he struggled at school-

at home-

at church-

to where he even began to curse.

But soon the ugly duckling,

accepting of his fate,

began to love-

to accept-

to embrace-

His adorably ugly face.
