For All The Times

Tue, 02/28/2017 - 12:19 -- Sara491

Your eyes will bleed, your eyeballs will fall out, and your eyelashes will be plucked for all the time your stare made someone uncomfortable, for all the times you've seen something and never said anything about it, for all the times you kept yourself awake and decorated your eyes with black bags, and for all the times you've seen how bad you treat yourself and never helped your self

Your mouth will dry and your tongue will be cut off for all the times you should have said something but you didn't, for all the times you felt good after saying a white lie, for all the times you cursed someone, for all the times you cursed yourself, and for all the times the words died on your mouth because you thought they weren’t enough

Your ears will perish and fade for all the times you heard something but never really listened, for all the times you listened but never really did anything, and for all the times you brushed aside something you heard about someone or about yourself

Your fingers will shrivel and curl, for all the times you touched something you shouldn't have, for all the times you spent texting and scrolling on the Web instead of moving your fingers against your piano or piece of paper or a fork to feed yourself or a hand embracing your loved ones, your hands will wither from all the times you kept them by your side

Your back will split and break for all the times it carried the weight of their heavy words but empty promises, for all the times you turned you back into someone who needed your help even when that someone was you, and for all the times it held something that it shouldn’t have because of your consistent guilt

Your legs will wobble and fall, for all the times they should have stood up steadily and go after your dreams, for all the times they should've bent down to apologize or beg forgiveness or even ask for love

Your body will smell like death for all the times you killed it before it died, for all the times you deprived it from life, for all the times you stripped it from happiness and covered it in scars, and for all the times you made it feel like a graveyard instead of a blooming flower

and lastly your heart will wrinkle and crease for all the times it should have loved the person holding it, for all the times it shouldn't have loved someone who didn't love it back, and for all the times it received love but never gave it back
