After The Fifth Ring

I know that you're gone, but  I pray you answer my call,

For one more chance to make you my all.

Baby, I was never one for romance,

but come on, just give me a chance.

You'll see a side that I've never shown.

After the fifth ring I wait for the beep,

Looks as if I've dug the hole too deep,

And now I know, I'll never see your face again.

I left you a message you'll never get,

I wish you could just listen to it.

And all these words which were never said,

Have me lying awake at night in bed.
