AFTER ALL

A hot afternoon,

The sun blazing,

Class ongoing,

But my heart still aching.

My thought wandering.

Exploring the path of life.

Or should I say,

Love.

Remembering those days.

The days when your friends thought,

It was another love life gone wrong.

It might have been another chapter of our lives.

But to me,

You were a divine message of love,

Sent from above.

And so,

If loving you was an affliction,

Then let me troubled by your affection.

I can’t wait to see your face,

And trace my love on your heart.

The fights,

The pain I went through for you.

The love was true.

That evening,

When we were bonding.

Forgetting to learn atomic bonding,

For the test I had the following day.

Now in this time,

The right season.

I mean this Valentine,

That’s the reason.

They thought it was a fallacy.

To me,

It was another opportunity,

To explore the tendency.

Swerving physics practical,

When my love for you became critical.

We might be far away.

But your smile,

Can still be felt miles away.

I remember that day,

As if it was yesterday.

June 14, 2018.

Looking into your eyes,

I forever wanted you to be mine.

That night you told me,

Not to come near you.

And how I went to bed with tears.

I still have that  fear,

Of losing you.

You still wonder why ,

I love you.

Why not Portia or Patricia?

Because you are a lady,

Unshaken by opposition.

My affection for you,

And your connection.

Never seen in all the nations.

Take me to that night.

With the moonlight bright.

The first sight of love.

Right now,

I want you to know that,

I still love you.

No need to be depressed,

Because you are still in my caption.

Tears dried,

And the skies bright.

I can’t imagine,

You still want a ride,

When inflation is still on the rise.

Is this the only way,

I can express my love for you?

At least my pride,

Had nothing to do with this.

Even though I was allergic,

To seeing you sad,

I still had to economic.

I’m serious.

This is not a comic piece,

But words drawn from,

A heart of no peace.

I just want you to know that,

All the affliction and depression,

I suffered.

Was all you ever offered.

But thanks for letting me know,

That love is not the fairytale,

I dreamt of,

After all.
