Adultery

Ripped from the roots, love’s decided

Petals fall, deceit confided

From the ground, thousands are taken

A blossomed life, you’ve forsaken

Wasted life on a wasted love

Gripped thy fingers round the foxglove

A glass prison, forever bound

A kingly orchid, hence uncrowned
