The Absence in Your Presence

My heart feels a pang at your arrival.

It is not so much about those poetic lines

Revealing unresolved emotions for her,

But how you make this situation so trivial

while I pass sleepless nights

Feeling pain too hard to bear.

And, when, from my ear, you pull back my hair,

I can only think of the signs

That you do not really care.

Feel that your heart is not mine,

That I am just one in a line,

and that, as you kiss me, you are not there.
