“To an Awesome Woman, who I call Mother”
You let me and my family into your home.
You saved us from the wind and the cold.
You show us love and passion in every way.
Your smile brightens my every day.
You call me son and I call you mother.
You are a mother, unlike any other.
I love how you treat me like I’m one of your own.
I love how your love goes to everyone you know.
You are my mother, not by birth, but by bond.
I will be your son, even long after the dusts from our bones are forever gone.
No words I can write, no songs I can sing, can say how I love you so as much as I do,
But, this poem is a start to show you what I’m willing to do, to show all the love I have for you.
So, I finish this long poem, filled with the joy of loving you as I do.
To an awesome woman, who I call mother, this poem is for you.
