Summer Nights

Location

Those warm summer nights

Those crazy summer fights

The amazing summer sights

That graceful summer light

Remember those warm summer nights?

When we’d gaze up at the stars?

Not a care about tomorrow

Because tomorrow seemed so far

Nothing else but that picture perfect moment

On those warm summer nights

Do you recall when we’d dream about our futures?

That seemed like a distant reality

That now has a ringing finality

And I don’t want to face it

Is there a way I can escape it?

I want to stay with those warm summer nights

Because everything wasn’t as complicated

Because we had imaginations that never ran out

Because we thought we knew all that life was about

Because I don’t think I’ll be ready for the real world

Because I want to keep this child-like fun, that the real world tends to muck

Because the thing about adults, is that they always grow up

And if you feel the way I feel

Like you don’t want your world to change

Then come with me, just take my hand

I’ll be your Tinkerbell and you’ll be my Peter Pan

And together we can fly away to Neverland

Where those warm summer nights, they never seem to end
