what my reflection told me

you keep your heart on lockdown

because the world is not your own

you keep your thoughts inside your mind

you dont like the lights because they remind you of how you hide

pretending to be fine, you rewrite every dream your heart makes

its easier to make a better story, one they will believe

honestly though,

you are at your wits end

you are tired of keeping up with the stories you tell

it feels like it takes more energy to say what they want you to say,

think what they want you to think,do what they want you to do

you have become a version of yourself that only exists outside of you

but there is a crack on the lefthand side of this mirror and i see you.

and i want to see more.

look into my eyes, your eyes

there is a light that glows into the irises that is unbelievably bright

oh, so now you want to look away?

you dont even know who you are. how can you turn way?

This Crack Will Break. and then you will be Alive. truly.
