Inspiration to Try and Apply Yourself

Location

You know that feeling when you're in your room

All private and contemplative

Laying on your bed, or sitting in a chair perhaps

With all these grand and positive thoughts of glory, achievement, success

Yet, you lack the motivation to get up and do it

It's not that you're not aware that you have to work to be successful

But, you're afraid

Afraid that you'll put in all this work and not get paid

for it in success

and that applying for that scholarship or college or job

is not worth all that effort

The longer you sit, the more depressed you get

And it's boring because you're not even tired

At least not physically

Only mentally tired of thinking or trying

What helps me is this:

I think about the people in this world who work hard for close to nothing

16 hours a day for a dollar or less maybe

They don't want to work that way anymore than anyone else

But that doesn't stop them from trying to survive

Yes, it may take you 10 hours or more to write that essay

Yes, you may not even win or make it for all the hours you put in

But there is always the possibility that you do make it

And thats good money from the scholarship

Or life-changing experiences from that college

So it's worth trying
