Forgetfulness

James 1:23-24            New English Translation

23 For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone who gazes at his own face in a mirror. 24 For he gazes at himself and then goes out and immediately forgets what sort of person he was.

Forgetfulness

Where do you come from? Oh! You forgot that! Are you nuts?

That's cute, but really now, you know my wife is taking gingko

Is it a chemical unbalance within the framework of the blood?

Or is it a power of darkness, who influences concentration’s flow?

If there is a spirit involvedand it surely can’t be God’s

I know He tolerates this, but He surely does not like it.

Looking at the “disease” like Alzheimer’s and such

It makes one wonder all along how humanity can survive it.

Flashing thoughts now here is one that bothers quite a bit.

It interrupts a train of view, and very often, prayer.

Are these affected directly by the darkness deep within

By powers out of control, it seems who take at will to slay me.

Pictures that come to mind that I dissect at will

Driven by imaginations that rush through my structure

Jumping to conclusions that my satisfactions fill

Levels of depravity that drives me to self-destruction
