Hercules
In a time long ago, when the gods ruled the world-
A hero named Hercules, was the strongest of them all.
He was strong as a bull, with a heart full of grit
With peril in sight, our hero never quit.
The people of the land spoke his name in great spirit
Oh, Great Hercules! Our hero! As perfect as can be!
Now if Hercules was alive in our modern time,
Would our hero ever reach the former prime?
The alarm rings only once, every day right at five.
Wakes a man of great stature
Making his way out the house,
beginning his day with a ten-mile run.
He arrives at the gym and prepares for his training
Battling the weights like a warrior,
Until his body gives out.
All the gymgoers admire
Arnold’s determination for success.
Selfies with the god of bodybuilding
Happen in between his sets.
The Hercules of the present,
Is a man like all the rest,
But looked up as a hero
For his warrior spirit and dedication.
Just like the Gods of Olympus,
He is idolized by all,
For his prodigious physique,
And being the strongest of them all.
