Hands in the dark
Smiles all around, hearts joined to make a single sound.
That's when it hits, the sudden fall in to the pits.
Thoughts of hidden problems arise so a smile tries to mask inner cries
Hands reaching out but are out matched by self doubt.
Feeling like a thorn amongst roses, different emotions are tried on like poses.
Smile, laugh, make jokes, exhausted by putting on this hoax
Deeper the hole sinks the more life stinks
But somehow a hand reaches and suddenly its warm like beaches
Pulling me from the dark of my mind, again our hearts do bind.
