Cupid is dying

With every swipe left 

He plummets towards death

Today’s society is no match for him 

as true love ceases to be

With each Cupid’s Bow that delivers the final blow 

Words that say they don’t love you anymore

Cupid falls on the floor as he feels the pain of a lost soul

Each time soulmates pass each other by 

Not looking up at even the sky 

Glued to their screens, the only thing they see

They miss out on their only meant to be 

Love letters, declarations of amor, and late night conversations no longer occur

It seems the world has forgot what love means

A tear falls down Cupid’s cheek as he feels the pain of what could’ve been 

he whispers his last words “the world needs to learn how to love again”
