The Lion Inside of Me

You think you know me, but you don't,

You meet me for the first time

And you label me like a pair of sneakers,

It's funny how you can just judge me

and make negative claims of how my life is going to be due to your jealousy,

Who am I?

I am a goal seeker,

Always constantly trying to find new ways to develop my future,

I am a hard worker,

Rain or Shine, Pain or Fatigue,

I will wake up every morning before the rooster’s crow and will refuse to sleep until my tasks are complete

With the Bow and Arrows you people aim at me,

Just know that my heart and my soul strengthens each and every time you try and put me down,

I let no distractions take control of me,

For I want to be a role model when I grow up,

One that sets the examples for others

…so maybe that's who I am,

A lion,

The king of the jungle that takes control of his own life and leads the way for others to follow
