Hearts delight
Home. The place we've known for most our life
Where endured struggles and pain
Experienced hope and joy that was not in vain
But what if home was severed from us with a knife.
The place we once knew and loved
Gone, from our hearts and from our touch
Though surrounded by family our happiness is never much
In our face harsh reality is shoved
Things just aren't the same when we grow old
Our light burns so quickly when we're alone
We push others out and our hearts turn to stone
As our fire becomes dim and our smile is no longer bold
We search for something to spark our desire
For many it's the company of another
For some it's helping eachother
For others death comes before this transpires.
So what does one do when homes no longer in sight
Open ourselves up and explore to our hearts delight.
