summeriness
a whisper hangs in the balance
of dusk and dawn
suspended in the dew
that tiny droplet that holds a million rainbows
when the first glimmering ray of sunshine
still clinging to the horizon, wakes.
the air hangs heavy, chilly,
not yet burdened with the sultry heat of midsummer -
the smell is invigorating, sweet, inviting
and lingers long after, in my memories.
