Two Robins

Two robins in a nest

One mother, one baby

Mother puts baby to rest

As she sings her song

Father robin flies in

With a great delight

To see his kin

And watches baby sleep

Sunrise above the hills

Baby first to wake

Rain pours down to fill

Baby with such sorrow

Mother flies up and away

High into the clouds

Father and baby wish her to stay

Though, both know she cannot

Two robins in a nest

One father, one baby

Father puts baby to rest

As he sings mother's song
