Flower Child

Flower Child:

Roses grew in her eyes

So she only saw beauty

Lilies filled her ears with melodies

Songs of lovely tragedies

Orchids lived in her heart

Keeping her kind and soft

You plucked her from her garden

Took one whiff of her smell

Tossed her aside to pick more

She lay in the dirt decaying

Wondering "He loves me,"

Or the truth "He loves me not

Another flower will take her place

And you shall pick her too
