Grave
In wooden box.
Six feet under.
Marked by stone.
Dirt layed asunder.
Lies alone.
In eternal rest.
Body laid prone.
Formally dressed.
Silence unbroken.
Slow decay.
Death’s old token.
Forever stay.
In the coffin.
Sullen day.
Day of mourning,
Without a sunrise to say.
So is the nature,
Of the grave.
