The Late Great Me

I found myself in the forest     Lost and with misssing memory  But well-outfitted with hardy clothes  stocked backpack  Ray Bans  Pith helmet  Machete  and AK-47      Dark shapes whisked around me  Shaking the malformed leaves and rotting vegetationIn the distance, to my right, Dad screamed      to my left, the howl of a demon       I unshouldered the rifle, heavy and assuring  It was loaded  Something huge rumbled towards me  In front of me  On the rutted path  I lifted the gun Ready       Useless   The creature was monstruously large Impossibly massive   Fascinating         My last thought  As it snared me in its titanic jaws      Jenny, with the light blond hair
