Afloat
Dear Me;
RE: Let Loose Your Sail
Life is simple, yes - it is quick
Time moves fast and starts to slip
Slip through our fingers
Whether calloused or soft
Our struggles can't be measured as the scale always tips
One side to the next
A vessel - a sinking ship
Provided for and thought of
with hearts that were warm
But troubled were the minds that turned that warmth into flame
To inhale is to expire
The mold is always there
from those who sought to protect the one they found so fair
They age in silver, tarnished, yet displayed
They are beautiful - yet are dismayed
One has shattered;
the other has cracked
The vessel is sinking into the coral blue hues
Sinking faster - bleeding out
An unpatched wound
Slip into the calm chaos of the improper malevolent sea
Promise to see the surfaces seams'
Seems to tug at the eyes
A tide of unforgiving lies
But that ship that does sink
And yes it falls quick --
Is one of many meant to falter
And here mine floats
