Darkness

She sits in silence.

Her soul is broken.

She is filled with an ever increasing blackness.

It consumes and devours her.

Unable to control it she falls to it.

It becomes her friend.

It becomes her lifelong companion.

And then one day something happens.

It consumes her completely.

She is now no longer herself.

She is now the blackness.

She can’t fight back.

And so she welcomes darkness with open arms.
