A Summer Storm

Crickets chirp sweetly

The wind brushes through the trees

The summer storm builds

Raindrops hit the tin

Puddles begin to appear

Birds still sing their songs

Lightning lights up the sky

Thunder booms across the earth

Buildings shake with fear

The wind roars outside

A twister has touched down

Destruction begins

It rages and roars

The storm rips across the yard

Until it is spent

Morning comes quietly

A sweet song comes from one bird

The storm rests once more.
