A Little Fruity

Once upon a time, I ate a funny fruit,

A little apple offered to me by a snake:

"The Fruit of the Tree of Knowledge"

When I ate it, there became a special hunger that followed.

Below is the account:

The hunger swells within me,

my bones ache, my brain itches, my teeth sweat.

The hunger grows still more,

like an orphaned child I beg for the food which sates it.

The hunger makes me desperate,

I become angry, flipping furniture for crumbs of food to inhale.

The hunger drives me mad,

I curse at the heavens, and the shadows lunge at me with daggers.

The hunger began to feed,

Canabalizing my body, mind, and very soul,

I lost my connection to God, and Hell had befallen me.
