Red, White, Blue
the flag is defiled with blood
the oozing red glistenes the streets
decorates batons
stains blue jumpsuits
the flag is soaked salt infested tears
the clear liquid adorning brown mother's faces
pools in a puddle on a metallic desk
looked upon as a weakness
the flag is hiding the sadness
the blue is in the hearts of the abandoned
empty carcasses of children souls
traumatic memory forever engrained

My country
