Escape From Reality

Sitting in class all day,

stressed out and tired.

I'm not ready to do homework,

instead I go for a book.

I need a escape from reality,

just for a little bit.

Worlds of the past,

worlds of the present,

worlds that yet to come,

and worlds do not exist,

telling me adventures of characters who

do so much more than ever could.

Magic comes alive with the contents

of a few hundred pages.

I don't have to analyze it or talk about what's going on.

I could just be someone else and go on that adventure.

I cuddle with the book until I'm finished.

For a brief moment,

I could escape myself,

or stress,

or the two other books I have to read for classes.

Now I'm finished,

what should I read next?
