The Summer Days

Fri, 10/14/2016 - 14:43 -- HCHYTKA

Early Birds in the morning

Sining their happy songs

The sun shining --

waking me up --

being my day.

Three dogs yelp for their owner --

running in circles, jumping around,

licks your face out of love,

leans against you for more love.

The wind blowing my hair,

calling for a ride, the fresh feeling on my face,

a board sitting just waiting to be ridden --

the sidewalk empty, begging for someone to come around.

The beach calling my name from the suns heat,

the beach girl inside comes out,

swimmer inside me trying to leap out into action

Friends who blow up my phone

waiting for me at our place.

The smile on my face,

the way my eyes sparkle with happiness,

the joy screaming from my voice,

the way my body dances to music,

my soul sings with wishfulness, happiness and purity.

My feet, my eyes, my heart, my soul --

waiting for the Adventure...
