Freedom of speach, freedom to write, freedom to express.
Feelings, thoughts, concerns, experiences, or combined all in one.
When my parents split up and ventured their seperate ways, i wrote.
When I cried out for their attention with my rebellious behavior, i wrote.
When I thought I was head over heels in love with my "true love" I wrote.
When I found out I was pregnant while crying myself to sleep I wrote.
When I was lost and didnt know what to do or where to turn, or who I could talk to I wrote.
When I had to endure the everlasting pain from the abortion I wrote.
When my mom cried over my actions I wrote.
When I held my stomach wondering what if I kept him or her I wrote.
When I found out my one "true love" was not my true love after all I wrote.
When I thought I could not live without him I wrote.
When I moved on and put myself first I wrote.
When I walked across that stage June 3rd 2013 number 40 in my class with honors I wrote.
When I got accepted into college and was finally inrolled I wrote.
When I decided I will never give up on my dreams and always strive for the best I wrote.
Freedom to say what you want, whenever you want in a way that settles your soul is what poetry is all about, Freedom.
