I Envy Her

I envy her.

You remain loyal to her,

Despite that too much of her

Causes your world to blur.

Blurred vision, yet so clear to me.

Crystal clear that I am not priority.

Still, you have the audacity to love

Her in front of me.

You cheat on me; you break my heart.

I wonder how my heart still beats for you.

Beats for you, while your heart beats for her.

She’s got you stuck-stuck like glue.

But glue is suppose to hold things together,

And she tears us apart.

She has you in a trance,

You are under her spell.

You have given up on us,

And pursued your love for her.

I look into your glazed eyes,

Oh, how much they have changed.

I watch the edges of your lips rise

While you taste her.

I am broken.

Please leave her alone,

And come back to me.

We can go back to when we

Had it all.

But she ruined it.

“She” is alcohol.
