Before I tell you who I am

I’ll tell you who I’m not-

My name, age, gpa, and appearance.

I am, however, my opinions and my thoughts.

My faith and perseverance

My struggles and the way I’ve fought.

I am the late nights with friends

And how I love to laugh a lot.

I am sunsets in the summer and my favorite songs

And I am my phone calls and the texts I send

About good memories come-

and gone.

After all, these are the things that have made me who I am all along.
