It’s unfortunate that our adolescent years are mostly spent worrying about all of the wrong things,
And we allow too many factors to come in & ruin all of our dreams.
We get caught up in all of the chaos & commotion,
And we convince ourselves that we need all of that medicating potion.
We spend too much time trying to please the ones we hate,
Our heads are so corrupted that we can’t even think straight.
Our morals & values evade from our souls,
And we end up compromising all of our goals.
We’re vulnerable & desperate for admiration,
That we’re willing to accept it in any formation.
We lower our standards & double our insecurities,
And we publicly announce each others’ impurities
It’s actually really nasty to see,
How cruel & malicious girls can be.
Retaliation is our initial instinct,
“As long as the end justifies the means”.
It’s a generation where you’re forced to fend for yourself,
And no one is really concerned about your emotional health.
But you’ll just fake a smile & pretend you’re okay,
Until you wake up & realize you’re only choosing to live this way…
