I am... Undefined
Undefined
I could be defined by my dancing toes
Or my curly cursive qs
Or my unexpected ambition
But I'm not
I will not define myself
Confine myself
To what I or others say
Not tomorrow not today
I won't be immured in preconceived notions
Because they are the true potions of oblivion
I would rather be the tiny sailboat lost alone at sea
Than the massive, stationary skyscraper with its strange audacity
Because if I can never explore life
I will deplore life
Because
I am undefined
I am of that kind
The kind that falls asleep over an SAT book on Thursday
And wakes up by the Oceanside on Friday
I am undefined
Life is transitory
So am I
So is humanity
I will never let myself be immured in just a few of the thousands of notes that string together to make life's harmony
I will flow
Like the millions of free rivers on our earth and places yet discover
I am undefined
Defined as undefined
This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
