No Regrets

Try to live with no regrets

Whatever you do, you can't change the past,
So why fret?
Do not let regret last
Any longer than you would let your popcorn burn
Or any longer than your Monopoly turn
Really, not longer than it takes to lose a bet
And definitely never longer than you can hold your breath
Living in the past is for those
Afraid to take a step in the direction they want to go
Looking over your shoulder all the time
Means you never see what's coming at your front
You miss opportunities that would have been prime
Because you can't let go of what can't be undone
You have to live in the now
For the path you choose has already begun
And you need to live for the future
To make sure you have one
Regret is for the past
Do not let it last
Do not let real life pass by
Before you ever spread your wings
And fly
