Fight Like A Girl (Revised)

Fri, 07/17/2015 - 16:21 -- Emily H

I am not a toy.

I am not a thing

that you think you can play with

and throw away when you are done.

I am more than

the body you see.

I am a human being

with a soul inside of me

and thoughts inside my head.

I’m just like you

and I will not let you

treat me like a piece of meat.

I refuse to be a victim.

I will not let you

lay me down

and spread my legs like a doll.

I will not let you look at me

like your fuck puppet

and call me your babe.

My eyes are up here, not down there.

Girls, your body is your body

and you are much more than just a body.

Fight for it.

No mean no

the opposite of yes

don’t let anybody treat you with disrespect

Don’t let them blame you because of your dress.

Fight like a girl

because when girls fight,

they fight without mercy.
