Critical Redundancy
So Who Won?
Cause it wasn't me
Did "The Man" give up or was it
the punks?
Are we in some 1984 style
facade
Exclaiming to be the "Courageous" New World?
No it's deeper
We live in an idiocracy
because frankly,
Hypocrisy thy name is
Democracy
But don't make this political
cause I'll be damned if I let the extremists stay so
cynical
Somehow along the way
love was traded for hate
Forging pathetic attempts to try and bait
the "other side"
into losing
Insults shot like bullets
to fracture the "other's" society
while our innaccuracy and
indolent priorities dismantled the very base with which this pessimistic campaign wrecked havoc
Because for every antithesis
there is a thesis,
For every refutation
there was contemplation,
and every negative
necessitates positive recussitation.
But this consummate reinforcement
got lost in our kharmic distortion
and so the crumbling substructure came tumblin' down
So while you may criticize my own hypocrisy
and psychoanalyze my herectic philosophy,
I point the same finger that Malcolm profoundly delievered
when these same issues went down
bit by bit
A hay penny in time ago
Five Decades on and this machine keeps chugging along
the train tracks of outdated facts
like nothing ever occurred to warrant introspection.
We live in world that may never know how many licks it takes to get to the center
of this historical conundrum:
If two opposing extremes do everything in their power to impair the other view,
Creating a hostile political climate that shouts
louder than any majority of moderates can hope to speak over
Does any change really occur?
So who won?
Cause, hell, it wasn't me
all tied up in critical redundancy
