Through the darkness in which I find myself,
In those desperate times I can't explain myself,
There is an intangible force that fills my soul,
A force that revives and makes me feel as a whole once again.
As I wondered how it came to be,
I realized it was all in a melody.
In Mozart's Requiem or Kenny G's Silhouette,
A divine note was played that helped me find myself.

Through the most fulfilling moments of my life,
In those adventurous times I could not resist but smile,
I recognized that I had given myself to a universal deity.
I figured it did not involve science nor mathematics,
I realized that it was in the arts,
The protagonist that gave me a reason to live.

And as I suspected all along,
Music became the power that healed my soul.
Such beauteous art that cleared my mind
That in return I devoted myself to this art.
