I'm from a small town
Location
I'm from a small town in California, and for the most part when people hear the golden states name, the first thing they think of is Hollywood, and famous people! Although, Tracy is far from the flashing lights and glam-filled people. Instead, we are known for our cows, Defense Weapon Distribution, and a ton of unsold houses that range in a high - low price range. An hour from both San Francisco and Sacramento, but 7 hours from my home-away-from-home, Disneyland. I've always been known as the Disney Chick! While others would watch Nickelodeon, I would be glued to 'That's so Raven', or 'Lizzie McGuire'. Also, every year for my birthday I'd blow out my candles wishing to go to Disneyland for my birthday! When I was a Senior in high school I discovered the Disney College Program and was ecstatic knowing I could attend college and be apart of this program that could potentially lead me to a future career! As a 22 year old, switching majors 3 different times and days away from starting out at the Los Angeles Film School majoring in Entertainment Business, I have finally come to the conclusion that I wouldn't want a career other than with Disney! I have grown up obsessed with Disney princesses, grew a passion for every new Pixar movie, and still today working at the Gap Factory Store, I am surrounded with graphic tees filled with Disney characters, children who run through the store with their Frozen themed shirts, Toy Story cowboy hats and toys that represent Disney Characters. I am reminded everyday of the one and only Walt Disney. I could only dream, hope, and wish on so many stars that I will be able to accept a role with Disney and work my way up to being in with this Fortune 500 company. As I check my Dashboard after logging into the Disney Careers page I close one eye and hold my breath until I realize I'm still in progress. Pended, yet still hopeful! In progress and pended is always better than No Longer In Consideration. My heart would completely shatter if I seen that status again. I can't help but pull a Rupunzle and wonder when will my Disney career begin!
