Ode to the Old Me
Location
This is an ode for the lonely one
the precious princess in her castle
with stuffed animal servants
and an imaginary knights
This is an ode for the quiet one
the bookish girl with sand in her shoes
flowers in her pockets
and her head in the clouds
This is an ode for the secretive one
with notebooks crammed with tear-stained ink
and scraps of paper scribbled with feelings
unsaid and unloaded to no one
This is an ode for the sensitive one
weaving her words like a daisy chain
through leftover stuffing
and paper scraps
