Who's my audience when I write my poetry?

Would it be my mother? Father? 

My peers?

When I write my poetry I write for myself

I don't do it to impress anyone

I do it just to hear myself out on paper

I like the idea of my thoughts being a reality

Looking back on old poetry it's interesting

I thought that a year ago

I thought that five years ago

I know because it's right there

In my own handwriting

I don't write poetry for anyone

I write poetry for myself
