Time

Now aged, once robust and vigorous

My hands

Then swift, now slow and tedious and in pain all the time

My legs

Fresh and smooth, now withered and aged

My face

Close-minded and foolish, now patient and understanding

My head

Worn, but explored far and wide

My feet

Thin, now large and always full

My stomach

Though I’ve been through ups and downs

I’ve enjoyed life

My appearance on the outside has changed but

Not the inside

Even though I can’t fight with my body I have strong

Words

I may not be beautiful any longer or strong like in the past

But….

I am still breathing
