Messed Up World

See that man,
little brother?
Walking with his head down?
He's not treated like we are.
Why?
He looks different.

See that girl,
little sister?
See yourself in the mirrors?
You can't do things some people can.
Why?
You're not a man.

See that hobbling man,
little cousin?
The one with the trembling walk?
He has a harder time finding work then you and I.
Why?
He's a cripple walking.

See this world we live in,
my child.
See how it's struggling so?
The world's got problems, yes that is so.
Why?
'Cause no one takes the time to care.

This world can change,
little ones.
This messed up, blinded world we live in.
How?
Treat all people as equals
And take a little time to care.

Yes, if I could change one thing,
my darlings.
That would be the one.
To live out the dream
of Martin Luther King,
and we all join our hands
as one.
