I am a woman

Location

They doubt my desire

They doubt how driven I can be

I don’t doubt myself.

They look past my mind

And right to where it is held

I am a woman.

I’ve been mocked by men

And criticized by woman

Where do I go now?

Somewhere I can grow

A place to let my brain work

A lab I belong.

The world I will help

Styrofoam I will replace

And then prove them wrong.

I am a woman

I belong inside a lab

There I can show them.

I can prove them wrong

Although I am a woman

my mind is very strong.
