Rain from above

Feel the emotion run

As the rain patters down on the roof

As the world sings around you

Speaking, whispering,

Do not be afraid

Listen to the wind swirl around you

Gusting with a need known only by those who fly

Fall, wings clipped unknown

Let the wind covet your body

Safely protecting you from harsh realities down below

The earth lay still

Waiting, always waiting

For that time when your still soul rises

When you no longer need protection

When nature leaves you to nurture another

Live unharmed, live peaceful, live for another

So they do not feel that rain you remember

The rain that held you down for millennia
