My Prison
I carry my prison with me,
I lock it in my heart.
It is buried deep within me,
and with it, I cannot part.
My prison is my myself,
the person I'd like to see.
Sometimes it is the person,
the person who is me.
Other times it is a person
deep and sad,
for things I have, or have not, done.
(This drives me mad.)
Every time, however,
I realise and I see,
that I am the prison,
Who must set this person free.
