The Mortician

If ever I thought I'd needed hope more, the time would be approaching-
His essence thrown away imprudently, his future left convulsing.
Ne'er had I thought his life to be as depressing as that of an embalmer.
Ne'er had I thought he'd sweep ashes into the shadows where Lucifer lurks.
Impaired dispairingly vision of life inaugurated in
The Mortuary where he works.

If ever I thought he’d need amorousness more, the time would be this moment.
He’d have no companionship come betwixt his blood.
Should I pass into the moonlight and seek the dancing demoness that lies,
I’d find him nowhere other than
The Mortuary where he cries.

If ever I thought he'd be released from Hades' clutch, time would stop entirely

His return is indefinite, his past has been decimated.

Ne'er had I thought Nostalgia would entrap me in her wicked penitentiary.

Ne'er had I thought Life's cyclical revenge would revolve around this Hellish facade.

Damned are the souls bellowing below the surface-

The Mortuary where he works!

This is beautiful, it has a tone that's very rare to find in a modern poet. Love it! :)
